Costa Lanta Koh Lanta Krabi Thailand

Tim : Chill out heaven

Having just got home raving about Costa Lanta to all our mates we're quite shocked by the above review. We are four friends who spent just under 2 weeks at Costa Lanta and ate in the restaurant regularly for either lunch or dinner. The food is AMAZING and we struggled to find the same subtlety of flavour anywhere nearby, which were all much more touristy cuisine. As for the service, the restaurant staff were charming and, okay, they may not be quite as efficient as a top hotel in the UK but they were always happy to help. As a place to wind down after the stresses of work and pre-Xmas London it was bliss.

Costa Lanta Koh Lanta KrabiJuke : Great hideaway, relaxed atmosphere, great food

I stayed for four nights at Costa Lanta and absolutely enjoyed it. The well designed pavillons are very comfortable, the resort has an overall relaxed atmosphere, the staff is kind and taking care of its guests. The food served in the restaurant is excellent, many guests staying at other Ko Lanta resorts come over to dine. Costa Lanta is a perfect place for residing in a calm environment and to relax well. The mosquitos from the river that goes through the resort can be ennerving, but mosquito tents are prepared for each night. Friends of mine stayed with their two kids and they also had a great time. For a true Ko Lanta holiday, this place is definitely the best pick.

Costa LantaSimpson : Great Service and fantastic food!

My husband, two children and I happened upon Costa Lanta when our reservation with another hotel did not meet our expectations. In addition to the dramatic architecture and unique layout, Kelly, the General Manager, was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Although they do not have adjoining rooms (we took 2 rooms side by side with shared porch) and do not usually cater to families I can't say enough about the wonderful way we were treated and made to feel comfortable during our stay. Our children adored the beautiful pool and my husband and I, both originally from New York City and consider ourselves foodies, found the food to be the best Thai food we had during our 8-day vacation in Thailand (and the Lemongrass martinis are sublime!).
Kelly personally made sure that our needs were always met, whether suggesting we try a new dish from the menu we had not tried or lining up a day of fun via tuk tuk to explore the island. We couldn't have had a nicer stay.

Costa Lanta Koh LantaSusie : Incredible design

Yes, the design of this hotel is stunning and the rooms are unique. The whole resort is one of the most excellent design hotels I have ever been at. However, quite a few things have to be renewed here and – given the climate – need much more attention. The wood used throughout the resort is looking old and dirty (which is a bit of an issue when the faucet is made from wood….), the rooms in general look somewhat tired, the lawn is not green etc etc.
Service is a disappointment, nobody seems to care too much about anything – something which is actually rather hard to find in Thailand. Food was great, though.
I would still recommend the place for its design, though - you will not be disappointed on that!

Costa Lanta Koh Lanta Krabi ThailandGeorge : relaxing and unique

Totally agree with the traveller from Australia . Costa Lanta is a very unique and relaxing place to begin your holiday in Thailand (it was my first stop as a honeymooner). My main complaint is that in our sea-view standard room, the space for the bedroom wasn’t much so we couldn’t really spent a lot of time in the room (there is no tv also). On the other hand, when you go to Thailand, you don’t really want to spent your hours in a room, do you?
I would recommend this resort for a 3-4 day stay.
